Earlier this summer, the NHL Network had Brennan Othmann at #26 on their list of Top-50 prospects
Scott Wheeler ranked Othmann 33rd overall in his July 2022 list of Top 50 Prospects. He says that Othmann has “that sixth sense as a scorer, where he just finds holes in coverage and in goalies to finish plays at a higher rate than most.” (The Athletic)

The Hockey News Future Watch Issue from this past April had the following Rangers in their Top 100:
- Brennan Othmann: 24 (An attacking forwardw ith great pace and a quick release, Othmann played for Olten in the Swiss League in 2020-21 and produced seven goals and 16 points in 34 games. Back with OHL Flint this eason, he’s lit it up, elevating him to the top level of prospects. Othmann, who scouts say is obsessed with fixing flaws, knows he must get stronger to compete in the NHL. For their part, the Rangers consider him a trade untouchable.)
