The Rangers have signed Riley Nash to a two-year deal.
It’s a one-way contract in the first-year and a two-way contract in the second year. (Friedman)
Nash, 34, spent last season in the AHL with Charlotte. He has 627 games of NHL experience across 11 seasons and played with three teams for 49 total games in 2021-22.
He has a career 48.5% faceoff winning percentage.
He had 24 goals and 35 assists in 66 AHL games last season.
Adam Rotter: Another low-risk signing for the bottom-six and also a veteran possibility for Hartford. Nash was a regular bottom-six player for years and then injuries started to get to him. He’ll get a chance to compete for a spot on the fourth-line and try to become a regular NHLer again. If not, he can go to Hartford and be a leader and try and help Hartford recreate their playoff success from this past season.
